Determined to become the first person to finish the swim without a shark cage, Diana goes on a thrilling four-year journey with her best friend and coach Bonnie Stoll and a dedicated sailing team.
Diana Nyad is a 61-year-old super-energetic woman living in America who loves taking up challenges. When she was 28, she attempted to swim nonstop for 103 miles in shark-infested waters from Cuba to the Florida coast but was unsuccessful. Now she plans to attempt once again without using a shark cage for protection. She enlists the help of her close friend Bonnie Stoll as a coach. Despite the advice from friends and well-wishers not to take up this risky exercise, she goes ahead.
