Plots:
Set in Japan, Isle of Dogs follows a boy’s odyssey in search of his lost dog.
An outbreak of dog flu has spread through the city of Megasaki, Japan, and Mayor Kobayashi has demanded all dogs to be sent to Trash Island. On the island, a young boy named Atari sets out to find his lost dog, Spots, with the help of five other dogs… with many obstacles along the way.
As a virulent canine flu ravages technologically advanced Megasaki from end to end, unscrupulous mayor Kobayashi decrees that all dogs be banished to Trash Island. But talk is cheap; the best time to take action is now. So, to track down his beloved four-legged companion Spots, Kobayashi’s courageous 12-year-old orphaned nephew Atari embarks on a dangerous, nearly impossible rescue mission. However, to reunite with his best friend, the boy will need all the help he can get, including unexpected allies. But who knows what has become of Spots, the Isle of Dogs’ hapless prisoner zero?
