Quotes:
« King-Lu: History isn't here yet. It's coming, but we got here early this time. Maybe this time, we can be ready for it. We can take it on our own terms.
»
« King-Lu: I think we should test the waters. Next batch, Cookie, we'll take to market. I've heard a fortune is made on this.
»
« Cookie: That seems dangerous.
»
« King-Lu: So is anything worth doing.
»
« King-Lu: I see something in this land I haven't seen before. Pretty much everywhere has been touched by now. But this is still new, more nameless things around here than you can shake an eel at!
»
« Cookie: Doesn't seem new to me, seems old.
»
« King-Lu: Mm. Everything is old if you look at it that way.

Plots:
In 1820, a cook travels to Oregon, where he meets a Chinese immigrant who is also looking to make his fortune. Soon, they team up in a dangerous scheme to steal milk from a prized local cow, the first and only in the territory.
A loner and cook (John Magaro) has traveled west and joined a group of fur trappers in Oregon Territory, though he only finds connection with a Chinese immigrant (Orion Lee). The men collaborate on a business, although its longevity is reliant upon the participation of a wealthy landowner’s prized milking cow.
Out foraging dinner for a rowdy band of fur trappers, a shy cook encounters Chinese immigrant King-Lu, a kindred spirit with an enigmatic past and entrepreneurial spirit. Eager to manifest success, the two cook up plans to secure their fortunes in a territory without definitive boundaries and rules.
