Plots: Dr. Tess Coleman and her daughter, Anna, do not get along with each other. However, things take a turn when, in a freak accident, they switch bodies and are forced to live each other’s lives. Anna Coleman is a rebellious teenager, who is guitarist for Pink Slip, a punk rock band, with her two friends Maddie and Peg. Anna also has a crush on Jake, but her high school life is really hard for her such as getting bullied by her former friend Stacey and Mr. Bates giving her a failing grade out of spite. Tess Coleman is a successful author and psychologist, who is engaged to Ryan Volvo. Unfortunately, Tess and Anna haven’t seen eye-to-eye since Mr. Coleman died, but everything changes for Anna and Tess when the two end up switching bodies. Tess learns that she is in Anna’s body and Anna is in Tess’ body. Tess must go to school as Anna to take an important exam, but she learns that Anna’s school life isn’t an easy one. Tess learns that Stacey Hinkhouse is a bully towards her daughter, she also learns about Mr. Bates’ grudge towards Anna, and she also realizes that Jake isn’t a bad person. Meanwhile, Anna goes to work as Tess and she learns that her mother’s life is pretty hard for her and she immediately learns that Ryan wants Anna to like him on his own terms. Dr. Tess Coleman and her fifteen-year-old daughter, Anna, are not getting along with each other. They don’t see eye-to-eye on clothes, hair, music, and certainly not in each other’s taste in men. One Thursday evening, their disagreements reach a fever pitch – Anna is incensed that her mother doesn’t support her musical aspirations and Tess, a widow about to remarry, can’t see why Anna won’t give her fiancé a break. Everything soon changes when two identical Chinese fortune cookies cause a little mystic mayhem. The next morning, their Friday gets freaky when Tess and Anna find that they have switched each other’s bodies. As they literally walk a mile into each other’s shoes, they gain a little newfound respect for the other’s point of view. But with Tess’ wedding coming on Saturday, the two have to find a way to switch their bodies back – and deadly quickly.
